Create scheduled backups of files and folders to external media such as CD, DVD or FTP servers with PKZip compression.

BackUp Maker (Standard Edition) is a tool which automatically backs up fules and folders at user-defined intervals. That is, users should first configure the program to backup how ever often they would like. It can range from hours to days to years if one chooses.

An interesting part of BackUp Maker is its options to save backups to certain locations such as CD or DVD discs, FTP servers, USB drivers or network locations such as network hard drives. The program utilizes PKZip in order to shrink the size of backups. Unfortunately with the free version, it will only backup files up to 1MB thus making BackUp Maker Standard crippleware. Promotions for the paid version is displayed after each backup. You can access the app from the system tray after it's been installed.

Some other features of BackUp Maker is built-in encryption, password protection and for the paid version, support for files of over 4GB if you're on a 64-bit system. It can also split files into parts and filter files by size.

BackUp Maker isn't a bad tool at all and is quite capable of backing up data, it's just not really a free solution like some others.
